Giving, and what it is for.
The Trust has been kept by its own family and its own town since 1968. It has never run an appeal. This page exists because people ask, and because they are entitled to know where the money goes before they decide.
What a gift pays for
Five things, and nothing else.
Oil, flowers, bhog and the priest’s honorarium — the one expense that never pauses, in any year, for any reason.
Grain, ghee and fuel for the kitchen, on festival days and ordinary ones.
Bedding, water and repairs for the rooms kept for visiting sadhus, pandits and devotees, offered without charge.
Printing and distributing copies of the Gita, and the cost of the kathas, paths and satsangs held on the premises.
The temple, the hall, the gardens and the boundary — a campus held on the same land since 1952 asks for repair every year.
The Trust Deed of 3 October 1968 names five objects and binds the Trust to them. Nothing given here can be spent outside them, and nothing can be applied outside India.

We would rather you spoke to someone than filled in a form. Call or write, say what you would like your gift to go towards, and the office will tell you how to send it and give you a receipt.

How the money is kept
Audited every year.
The Deed requires true and accurate accounts, audited annually. The trustees serve without remuneration. No individual, family, donor or trustee stands above the purpose of the Trust — that is written into the covenant the trustees keep.
If you would like to see the accounts before giving, ask. They will be shown to you.
