When I fear failure
The Gita does not ask us to abandon ambition or stop caring about results. It asks us not to surrender our inner stability to them. Pursue excellence, accept responsibility, and remain steady through success and failure.
When the result consumes me
Nishkama Karma is neither indifference nor inaction. It means giving our fullest sincerity to the duty before us without letting attachment to the outcome govern the inner self.
When desire becomes anger
Krishna traces an inner progression: fixation creates attachment; attachment feeds desire; obstructed desire becomes anger; anger clouds judgment. In an age of stimulation, comparison and instant gratification, this is exacting spiritual psychology.
When my mind is restless
The Gita does not deny the difficulty of governing the mind. Shri Krishna gives a discipline: Abhyasa, repeated practice, and Vairagya, freedom from compulsive attachment. Self-mastery is cultivated, not wished into existence.
When the right path is unclear
The world repeatedly asks, “What do I want?” The Gita asks a deeper question: “What is my Dharma here?” Dharma turns us beyond convenience towards responsibility — to family, work, society and the moral order.
When success gives me influence
The greater our influence, the greater our responsibility. Leadership is not merely authority; it is the discipline of example.
What should Bhakti change within me?
Scriptural knowledge, ritual and temple worship invite an inward test: Has knowledge made me humbler? Has Bhakti made me more compassionate? Has Sadhana weakened anger and ego? Has nearness to Shri Krishna changed how I treat others?
