Bhakti — Devotion

A leaf, a flower, a fruit, water — offered with love, it is accepted.

The teaching

भक्ति

5 shlokas below, each in Sanskrit, transliteration, and plain words.

The Gita opens the door of devotion to everyone. It does not ask for wealth, learning or standing — only sincerity. A leaf, a flower, a fruit, a little water, offered with love, is received. And whatever you do, eat, give or undergo can itself become the offering.

Devotion in the Gita is not a feeling that comes and goes. It is a direction the whole life is turned in. Krishna’s promise to the devotee is startlingly personal: “I carry what they lack and preserve what they have.” The text ends on the same note — take refuge, and do not grieve.

The temple doors are open to all, and bhog and prasad are shared without distinction. The evening aarti before Shri Krishna ends the Bhawan’s day in the spirit of 18.66.
